Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path

Published Feb 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025

Uncontrolled search path handling in Intel QuickAssist Technology Driver for Windows before 1.6 allows local users to elevate privileges. Intel identifies the flaw only as an uncontrolled search path in the driver and has not disclosed the affected file, routine, or path-loading operation.
