CVE-2022-37337Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via unsanitized device name

Published Mar 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025

Command injection in NETGEAR Orbi RBR750 4.6.8.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via an HTTP request. The access_control_add.cgi endpoint passes the dev_name value for an allowed or blocked device to a shell without neutralizing command separators. Exploitation requires local-network access, administrator credentials, the router serial number, and its MAC address; injected commands execute as root.
