CVE-2022-37305Public exploit

Indefinite door unlocking via rolling-code signal replay

Published Aug 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authentication bypass in Honda vehicle RKE receiving units through 2018 allows remote attackers to unlock doors via captured radio signals. The receiver accepts five consecutive previously valid rolling-code messages and resynchronizes its counter backward, making the final captured command valid again. Remote attackers must first capture five consecutive signals within radio range; replaying them can unlock the same vehicle indefinitely without the key fob.
