Authenticated file read via UEditor path traversal
Published Sep 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Shirne CMS 1.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through its UEditor controller. The /static/ueditor/php/controller.php endpoint accepts traversal sequences in file paths without keeping resolution inside its intended directory. Low-privileged CMS access is required; successful requests disclose files readable by the web server without changing data or service availability.
