Prototype pollution via unchecked deferred-conversion keys

Prototype pollution in Steal 2.2.4 allows remote attackers to modify Object.prototype through a crafted npm package name. The convertLater function indexes context.deferredConversions with packageName without rejecting prototype keys, then assigns requestedVersion beneath the resolved object. Reachability depends on an application passing attacker-controlled package metadata into Steal's progressive npm conversion path; polluted properties can alter JavaScript object behavior in that process.
