Stored XSS via unencoded address titles
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Jun 3, 2025
Stored XSS in Craft CMS 4.2.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted address title. The Cp::addressCardHtml method passes the stored Address.title value directly to Html::tag for the heading and action label without HTML encoding. An account able to create a user with an Addresses field and save an address can plant the payload, which executes when a victim opens /admin/myaccount.
