Authenticated iframe injection via unsanitized currentRequest output
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in MDaemon SecurityGateway for Email Servers 8.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject an iframe. The web interface returns the currentRequest parameter in page content without neutralizing an attacker-supplied iframe tag. A victim must open the crafted authenticated response; the injected frame can alter displayed content and direct the victim to attacker-controlled resources.
