Response manipulation via unsanitized data parameter
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
HTTP response splitting in MDaemon Technologies SecurityGateway for Email Servers 8.5.2 allows remote attackers to inject response content. The web interface copies the untrusted data parameter into an outgoing HTTP response header without neutralizing carriage-return and line-feed characters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and crafted input can set arbitrary headers, control the response body, or create multiple responses.
