Authenticated script execution via unescaped currentRequest reflection
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in MDaemon Technologies SecurityGateway for Email Servers 8.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a user's browser. The web interface returns attacker-controlled currentRequest content in an HTML response without neutralizing executable markup. An authenticated attacker must induce another user to open a crafted request; the script can read or alter data available to that user's session.
