CVE-2022-3723Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via Turbofan field-type confusion

Published Nov 1, 2022 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 107.0.5304.87 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted HTML page. Turbofan optimizes kStoreInLiteral writes to fields typed None without generalizing the field type or invalidating code that relies on the old map. A user must load attacker-controlled content; the resulting object-type mismatch enables arbitrary memory reads and writes that can lead to shellcode execution.
