Authenticated database query execution via unvalidated sort field
Published Sep 27, 2022 · Updated May 22, 2025
SQL injection in JFinal CMS 5.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries through a crafted sort field. The affected listing code appends the attacker-controlled orderBy value directly to an ORDER BY clause without validation or an allowlist. A valid user session is required, and resulting database access is bounded by the privileges of the application's database account.
