Authenticated file disclosure via function parameter
Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Local file inclusion in CuppaCMS v1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read system files through a crafted POST request. The cuppa/api/index.php component uses the [function] parameter as an include path without restricting attacker-controlled file references. Valid CuppaCMS credentials and API access are required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of readable files without reported integrity or availability impact.
