Authenticated code execution via shell upload
Published Aug 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Garage Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through manage_website.php. The manage_website.php upload handler accepts a shell or other dangerous executable file without adequate type restriction, allowing the uploaded payload to run in the application context. Exploitation requires an already authenticated account and network access; the resulting payload can read or alter sensitive data and interrupt service.
