Reflected script execution via unescaped search path
Published Aug 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in Piwigo 12.3.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through a crafted search URL. The created-monthly-list path segment is copied into a double-quoted HTML attribute without neutralizing attacker-controlled markup. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL, after which injected content runs in that user's Piwigo origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
