Stored script execution via profile fields
Published Aug 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Online Diagnostic Lab Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in pages displaying submitted profile data. The application stores firstname, address, middlename, lastname, gender, email, and contact values and later renders them without effective output encoding, creating a stored XSS condition. Exploitation requires submitting crafted profile data and a victim viewing the affected page; script runs in that victim's browser context.
