CVE-2022-37149Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via username injection

Published Aug 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

OS command injection in WAVLINK WL-WN575A3 firmware RPT75A3.V4300.201217 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via adm.cgi. The handler accepts the username parameter without neutralizing shell metacharacters before incorporating it into an operating-system command. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation grants control over resources accessible to the injected commands.
