Network interruption via unauthenticated setup completion
Published Aug 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper initialization in D-Link DIR-816 A2 1.10CNB04 allows remote attackers to initialize network settings without authentication. The /goform/wizard_end handler accepts a token obtained from the public login page and performs network initialization without verifying an authenticated session. Network access to the router web interface is sufficient, and invoking the handler interrupts connectivity by leaving the device inaccessible.
