Database metadata disclosure via unfiltered article identifier
Published Aug 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in BlueCMS 1.6 allows remote attackers to read database metadata through the id parameter in admin/article.php. At line 132, the script places the unfiltered numeric parameter into an SQL expression, enabling time-based blind queries through conditional sleep calls. No credentials or user interaction are required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates database-version extraction through the response-time oracle.
