CVE-2022-37109Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated camera access via exposed cookie secret

Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated May 1, 2025

Authentication bypass in patrickfuller camp allows remote attackers to access protected camera streams over the network. The server exposes password.txt through StaticFileHandler path variants and reuses its SHA-512 password hash as the Tornado cookie secret. When login protection is enabled, an unauthenticated network client can fetch the hash, forge a valid camp session cookie, and view the camera feed.
