Authenticated script execution via unsanitized firmware filename
Published Aug 18, 2022 · Updated Oct 17, 2025
Reflected XSS in the FLIR AX8 web interface through 1.46.16 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a filename. The firmware-update file input renders a selected filename without neutralizing embedded markup, causing script in the name to execute. Exploitation requires an authenticated management session and selection of the crafted file, with execution confined to that browser session.
