CVE-2022-3703

Device takeover via unsigned firmware packages

Published Nov 10, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Firmware authenticity failure in ETIC Telecom Remote Access Server 4.5.0 and earlier allows attackers to gain device privileges. The web portal accepts malicious firmware packages without validating a code signature, permitting persistent backdoor code to replace trusted device firmware. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access, high privileges, and a crafted firmware package; successful installation compromises the router and connected systems.
