Stack buffer overflow in the system BIOS of certain HP PC products allows local users to escalate privileges and execute code. HP identifies stack buffer overflows but has not published the affected BIOS component, input path, or unsafe memory operation. Exploitation requires local access, needs no prior privileges or user interaction, and can modify system integrity or interrupt service.
