Improper input validation in IntelliJ IDEA before 2022.2 allows local users to disclose limited data through a Git identity dialog. The Git User Name Is Not Defined dialog accepts an email address without validation; JetBrains has not disclosed the data path that produces the confidentiality impact. Exploitation requires user interaction, and published scoring reports no data alteration or service interruption.
