Authenticated file read and SSRF via undisclosed mechanism
Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Server-side request forgery in Veritas NetBackup allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files and interrupt the Primary server. Veritas has not published the affected service, request field, or server-side URL-fetching operation that mishandles client-controlled input. Reachability requires authenticated access to a NetBackup Client; the documented consequences are file disclosure, server-side requests, and service interruption.
