Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file write in Veritas NetBackup 8.1.x through 9.1.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to write files between clients. A client can supply an arbitrary destination through a Primary server, but Veritas has not disclosed the affected component or failed validation operation. Exploitation requires valid NetBackup Client access and VxSS enabled on both the Primary server and the attacker-controlled client.
