Arbitrary file disclosure via unchecked task paths
Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Path traversal in Ivanti Avalanche 6.3.3.101 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through AgentTaskHandler. AgentTaskHandler uses a user-supplied path in file operations without restricting it to an intended directory. Requests normally require authentication, but that check can be bypassed; exposed files can include stored session cookies that enable further compromise.
