Administrative changes via nonce-free forms
Published Aug 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Progress WS_FTP Server before 8.7.3 allows remote attackers to submit administrative changes. Forms in the administrative interface accept state-changing requests without a per-request nonce, preventing forged requests from being distinguished from intentional submissions. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to interact with attacker-controlled content; Progress has not identified which settings can be changed.
