Stack buffer overflow in FastStone Image Viewer 7.5 and earlier allows attackers to corrupt process memory via a crafted PNG file. The PNG parser accepts a malformed tRNS transparency chunk and processes its data beyond a stack buffer's bounds, overwriting adjacent stack memory. Exposure requires the application to parse the malicious image; the published record establishes memory corruption but does not document reliable code execution.
