Code execution via unchecked DEX string table bounds

Out-of-bounds read in ReDex before commit 3b44c64 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted third-party Android APK. DexLoader trusts encoded string-table offsets and counts without confirming that the resulting table remains within the DEX file. The APK must enter a workflow that invokes ReDex, and successful exploitation executes code with the optimizer process's privileges.
