Authenticated filesystem enumeration via unchecked form validation
Published Jul 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Jenkins Openstack Heat Plugin 1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to enumerate controller file paths. Form-validation methods accept attacker-specified paths and return existence results without enforcing a permission check beyond Overall/Read. Overall/Read access is sufficient, and repeated queries provide a file-existence oracle that can map the controller file system without reading file contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
