Authenticated outbound requests via unchecked form validation
Published Jul 27, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
Missing authorization in Jenkins Openstack Heat Plugin 1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to connect to arbitrary URLs. Form-validation methods accept a caller-supplied endpoint and initiate the connection without enforcing a permission beyond Overall/Read. Any account with Overall/Read can make the controller originate network requests, but the advisory reports no response-data disclosure or code execution.
