CVE-2022-3691Public exploitNetwork attack vector

API key disclosure via public log files

Published Nov 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025

Sensitive information disclosure in Fluenx DeepL API translation plugin before 1.7.5 allows remote attackers to read API keys from log files. The plugin writes DeepL request details, including the API key, to predictably named log files under the public WordPress uploads path without access controls. Unauthenticated HTTP requests to those files expose stored translation metadata and credentials; no data modification or service interruption is reported.
