Unauthorized SSH key upload via form validation
Published Jul 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Jenkins OpenShift Deployer Plugin 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload controller SSH keys. Form-validation methods accept attacker-chosen file paths and destination URLs without performing permission checks, exposing a file-existence oracle and sending the selected SSH key file off host. Overall/Read permission is sufficient to test controller paths and cause the upload to an attacker-controlled endpoint.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
