CVE-2022-36908Network attack vector

SSH key exfiltration via CSRF-enabled form validation

Published Jul 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

CSRF in Jenkins OpenShift Deployer Plugin 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to probe controller files and upload an SSH key. The affected form-validation methods accept non-POST requests and use supplied file paths and destination URLs to inspect controller files and transmit an SSH key. Exploitation requires an authenticated Jenkins user's browser to submit the crafted request; consequences are file-existence disclosure and outbound SSH-key transfer.
