Stored script execution via unescaped parameter fields
Published Jul 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Jenkins Dynamic Extended Choice Parameter Plugin 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The plugin renders several attacker-controlled fields of Moded Extended Choice parameters without escaping them, persisting markup that runs when an affected view is opened. Item/Configure permission is required to plant the payload, and another user's interaction is required to execute it in that user's browser.
