Stored XSS via unescaped trigger cookie name
Published Nov 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Stored XSS in Code Atlantic Popup Maker before 1.16.11 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The trigger editor stores a script payload supplied as an On Popup Close cookie name and later renders that name without sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and execution occurs when an administrator edits the affected trigger, enabling actions in that administrator's session.
