Arbitrary file write via unsanitized archive paths
Published Jul 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Jenkins CLIF Performance Testing Plugin 64.vc0d66de1dfb_f and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files. Zip.extractTo joins unvalidated archive entry names to its destination directory, letting traversal segments escape the intended extraction root. Overall/Read permission is sufficient to create or replace files with attacker-specified content under the controller process's filesystem privileges.
