Bluetooth MAC address disclosure via unrestricted Intent
Published Sep 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Plugin before 2.2.11.22081151 allows local users to read a connected device's MAC address. GalaxyStoreBridgePageLinker broadcasts an Intent without adequately restricting access, leaving the connected Bluetooth device's MAC address readable in its log. Reachability requires a local application on the paired Android phone, and the bounded consequence is disclosure of the Bluetooth identifier.
