CVE-2022-3686Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service hang via parallel endpoint requests

Published Mar 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 18, 2025

Denial of service in Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X SDM600 before 1.2 FP3 HF4 allows remote attackers to hang the application via parallel requests. An SDM600 endpoint accepts multiple concurrent requests without adequately limiting parallel work, leaving its web services busy rendering responses. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation interrupts service by making the application unresponsive.
