Improper authorization in setDualDARPolicyCmd on Samsung devices running Android 10 through 12 allows local attackers to cause permanent denial of service. The command handler omits a caller authorization check before setting DualDAR policy, permitting an unauthorized local invocation to leave the device unusable. Exploitation requires local execution on an affected device; Samsung reports permanent availability loss without data disclosure or modification.
