Heap-based buffer overflow in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Sep-2022 Release 1 allows local users to cause memory access faults via prepareRecogLibrary. The prepareRecogLibrary function in libSDKRecognitionText.spensdk.samsung.so mishandles heap data, permitting an out-of-bounds write that corrupts memory. A local user with low privileges must reach code that invokes the library; the documented consequence is a memory access fault with possible integrity and availability impact.
