CVE-2022-36832

External-storage access via missing caller check

Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper access control in Cameralyzer before 3.2.22, 3.3.22, 3.4.22, and 3.5.51 allows local users to access external storage. The WebApp component accepts calls without properly checking the caller, so an unauthorized local app can exercise Cameralyzer's storage privileges. Exploitation requires code execution on the Samsung mobile device and exposes externally stored data without reported write or service-interruption impact.
