Published Oct 14, 2022 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Improper authorization in Atlassian Jira Align before 10.109.2 allows remote authenticated users with People access to become Super Admins. The MasterUserEdit API accepts role changes for any user without enforcing that the caller already has Super Admin authority. A People-role account is required, and successful exploitation grants Super Admin privileges within Jira Align.
