Template injection in Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through Email Templates. The Email Templates feature allows Velocity templates to use the XStream library in a manner that executes arbitrary code. Exploitation requires system administrator permissions and can run code with the Jira application privileges on affected releases.
