CVE-2022-36775Network attack vector

Session hijacking via unvalidated Host header

Published Feb 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025

HTTP header injection in IBM Security Verify Access 10.0.0.0 through 10.0.4.0 allows remote attackers to hijack sessions via a crafted Host header. The WebSphere Liberty component accepts the Host header without proper validation, allowing attacker-controlled host data to influence downstream responses. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful requests can also enable cross-site scripting or cache poisoning.
