Command execution via malicious JDBC driver upload
Published Apr 26, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Command injection in IBM Cloud Pak for Data 4.5 and 4.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by uploading a malicious JDBC driver. The JDBC driver upload path accepts dangerous JAR files and automatically processes their contents inside the product environment. A privileged account with driver-upload access is required, and successful exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
