Unauthenticated configuration access via forged authorization value
Published Aug 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authentication bypass in D-Link DIR-845L A1 firmware 1.0.0 through 1.0.3 allows remote attackers to access protected configuration data. The getcfg.php handler accepts a client-supplied AUTHORIZED_GROUP value of 1 as proof of authorization instead of validating an authenticated session. No credentials or user interaction are required, and a crafted network request exposes data normally restricted by the router's access controls.
