Authenticated database disclosure via unneutralized id parameter
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Library Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database content via the id parameter. The /LMS/admin/modify1.php handler incorporates the id query value into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, so a UNION SELECT payload changes the query and returns database values. A valid PHP session is required to reach the administrative handler; the published proof demonstrates database-name disclosure but does not establish command execution.
