Database disclosure via injectable book ID
Published Aug 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Library Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read database data via the id parameter in a staff endpoint. The endpoint incorporates the crafted id value into a query, allowing a quote and UNION SELECT clause to return the database name. Network access is sufficient and no user interaction is required; successful injection exposes data readable by the application's database account.
