Authenticated file deletion via unrestricted path parameter
Published Aug 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Ingredients Stock Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The delete_img action in classes/Master.php accepts a caller-controlled path and deletes the referenced file without restricting it to an intended directory. Backend access is required, and deletion can remove application or hosted files and interrupt service without disclosing file contents.
